- Our Story -

Pierpoint is a family owned business in the Sequoia National Forest near Camp Nelson. Surrounded by groves of giant Sequoia trees and mountains along the Tule River, our 3 acres offer a beautiful venue for events.

  •  2 newly renovated dining rooms with wood trimmed walls

  •  A 24 foot bar cut from one sugar pine tree harvested locally

  •  An amphitheater for weddings, services, and meetings

  •  A patio for live music and dining

  •  A backyard for horseshoes or camp fire

  •  Lodging in our 6 room classic road side motel

  •  Free wireless internet

Originally established in 1961, it has been a cherished spot on the mountain for locals and travelers. It was dearly missed when its doors closed in 2016. The Pier Fire of 2017 burned 3 months, threatening the community and forest around Camp Nelson. Using Pierpoint as their staging area, firefighters saved this small mountain community from the fire, which threatened to destroy the area for weeks. That November Tom and Mary Bristow closed escrow and immediately began a complete renovation of the store, restaurant and bar. Pierpoint re-opened in the Spring of 2018 with a new look and a new cuisine, serving California fresh food.
